Official Languages Scheme 2008-2011
This scheme has been drawn up by County Dublin V.E.C's Official Languages Working Group and has been approved by the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs Éamon Ó Cuív T.D.
The scheme recognises the goodwill which exists towards the Irish language in County Dublin V.E.C. Areas for the provision of services through Irish by County Dublin V.E.C are identified in the body of the scheme. It also includes a commitment to assess, on an ongoing basis, the level of demand for our services through Irish, and the need to ensure that the County Dublin V.E.C continues to meet this demand in a planned, coherent and accessible manner.
Responsibility for monitoring and reviewing the scheme will rest with senior management within County Dublin V.E.C.
