County Dublin VEC – Our Track Record as an Education Provider
County Dublin VEC has a significant record in developing new schools in the County Dublin area and is currently patron of 26 other colleges in the county across a wide range of communities. Four of these are Coláiste Lan Gaeilge providing education through our national language. One of the most recent of these schools is Donabate Community College which has recently moved into its purpose built new location on Portrane Road. Donabate Community College is one of the single most modern schools in the State. It is a multi-denominational and co-educational school designed by County Dublin VEC to meet the educational needs of the local community.
Lusk Community College will offer boys and girls of Lusk an opportunity to pursue their second-level education together. This will be achieved through the pursuit of standards of excellence in all areas of the schools activity. Special emphasis will be put on the quality of teaching and learning, positive behaviour and the use of Information Technology as an educational tool.
Lusk Community College will promote the development of the whole person. Its aim will be to create, with the assistance of parents, responsible citizens. The development of the whole person will be based on personal responsibility, inter-dependence, respect for people and respect for property. The College will seek to cultivate integrity, the necessary skills for life, value discipline and punctuality and facilitate the best in the academic and non-academic areas. The Board of Management will seek to inculcate a value for culture, traditions and religious beliefs and will seek to be a caring and compassionate community where justice and truth will be central elements.

Note - Your Expression of Interest will help the Department of Education and Skills in its decisions around the planning and building of new schools in the areas listed above. Your details will be kept privately by us and will only be used to let the Department of Education know of the potential pupil numbers and the level of interest in your area for a new Community College.
