County Dublin VEC Charter

The Committee is constituted under the Vocational Education Acts, passed by Dail and Seanad Eireann 1930-2001. As a representative democratic body, it strives through its schools, centres and colleges, to deliver an educational service of excellence to all the community of County Dublin.

The importance of local democracy is recognised by the Committee in the formation of the Board of Management, on which Parents, Teachers, Religious and Committee representatives combine in Local Management.

Students irrespective of economic circumstance, gender, religious or philosophical outlook, race or social situation are welcome to join us in the pursuit of knowledge.

Each student will be respected as an individual and encouraged to develop an awareness of her/his own worth.

College programmes are aimed to provide each student with broad, relevant and personally fulfilling experiences, to develop an appreciation of leisure time and how to use it productively.
