The aim of the BTEI is to give young people and adults an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other commitments.
 
County Dublin VEC offers a wide range of part-time, flexible and innovative learning opportunities under the BTEI. Participants can study subjects at Junior or Leaving Certificate level or choose from a range of FETAC-accredited courses:
 
  • Communications
  • Maths
  • Information Technology
  • Business and Office Skills
  • Childcare
  • Healthcare
  • Social Care
  • Horticulture
  • ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
 
What does it cost?
Courses under the BTEI are free for people in receipt of an eligible Social Welfare payment and for everyone with less than upper second-level education i.e. Leaving Certificate or equivalent. Fees are payable in certain other circumstances.
